Scope
Art Directing, Identity Design, Web Design, Graphic Design
Artistic direction and visual identity for the Arrasy fashion collection, inspired by Wawel Castle’s tapestries, showcased during the All the King’s Tapestries: Homecomings 2021–1961–1921 event.
The Brand
The project brought together the historic Wawel Castle and retro fashion designer PLICH. His collection, Arrasy, drew inspiration from the castle’s iconic tapestries, with hand-painted visuals applied to garments, reflecting the intricate artistry of the original works. The event was a unique fusion of historical craftsmanship and contemporary retro fashion design.
Solution
I focused the artistic direction on translating the heritage of the tapestries into a modern fashion language. A cohesive visual identity was developed to blend past and present, executed across digital and print platforms. I designed a dedicated website to enhance the collection’s online presence, while print materials emphasized the tactile, handcrafted nature of the designs, reinforcing their connection to tradition and craftsmanship.
