Scope

Visual Identity, Web Design, Illustration, Merchandising

Creating a welcoming, sensory-friendly visual language to support children’s developmental needs while maintaining harmony across both print and digital platforms.

The Brand

Sensory Child London, a sensory integration center was created to support children with special developmental needs and their families. It offers specialized therapies, including Neurotactile Therapy, Hand Therapy, and Johansen Auditory Method. The clinic focuses on fostering a safe environment where children can develop essential skills to manage sensory processing challenges. The challange was to craft a visual identity that aligned with this mission, providing a child-friendly, approachable communication style.

Solution

I developed a visual identity using a multicolored, but soft palette to avoid overstimulation. The illustrations depict characters navigating their sensory experiences, with oversized hands symbolizing guidance in processing stimuli. These hands serve as tools for inviting or shielding from stimuli, offering a visual metaphor for sensory management. The design was well received by both the clinic’s staff and the families they serve. Additionally, I designed the clinic’s website, ensuring consistency with the visual identity principles.
